When most people think of vinyl, they think vehicles. Fleet wraps, car graphics, maybe a storefront window. And yeah — that’s a big part of what we do. But vinyl is one of the most versatile materials in the branding world, and a recent project at OKC Airport is proof.

The Call We Didn’t Expect

In partnership with the OKC airport, Nominee reached out to us with something a little different. They needed help bringing a full museum-style display to life inside the terminal — a historical exhibit called A Story of Flight, honoring the legacy of Will Rogers and the history of Oklahoma aviation.

No vehicles. No storefronts. Just walls, panels, odd architectural surfaces, and a vision.

We were all in.

What We Actually Did

Here’s where it gets interesting — because this project touched almost every corner of what large-format print and vinyl can do:

Wood grain wall wraps. The entire display backdrop needed to feel warm and museum-quality. We wrapped large wall sections with a realistic wood grain vinyl that gave the space an elevated, finished look — no actual wood required.

Printed historical timeline panels. Decades of aviation history, printed and mounted across the display. High-resolution imagery, clean layouts, and precise installation made these panels look like they belonged in a world-class exhibit.

Odd surfaces and architectural details. This is the part most shops walk away from. Corners, edges, irregular surfaces — the stuff that requires patience, skill, and experience. Our team handled every inch of it.

Signage and wayfinding elements. Navigation labels, section headers, interactive display callouts — all part of the same cohesive system we helped bring together.

The A Story of Flight display is a great reminder that vinyl isn’t just a vehicle thing. It’s a surfaces thing. And surfaces are everywhere.
